Jones Intermediate School is a Leader in Me school. The Leader in Me is FranklinCovey's whole school transformation process that teaches leadership and life skills. These skills empower every child to be a leader. This process is rooted in the idea that we, as educators, not only are responsible for preparing each and every student to be college or career ready upon high school graduation we must also provide opportunities for students to identify and fulfill their potential.

The Leader in Me model recognizes that every child is capable. The model also recognizes that every child is a LEADER, has GENIUS, and ultimately, can lead their OWN LEARNING. At Jones Intermediate School, we help our students to achieve academically while we develop the whole person.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is an integral part of The Leader in Me process. Key principles include responsibility, vision, integrity, teamwork, and collaboration.

We invite you to join us at Jones where we make leadership training part of everything we do. It impacts the culture, events, and even the instructional methods in our school. The Leader in Me is not one more thing; rather, it's teaching and learning in a much better way.

20-21 School Supply List

School Supply List

Whether we begin the year in remote learning or face-to-face, we know that we'll need school supplies. You may print this list or find it at Wal-Mart and Staples.

2020-2021 Academic Calendar

2020-2021 calendar

Our Board of Education has approved revisions to our 2020-2021 calendar that include a student start date of August 17, 2020 and the addition of five remote learning days. These revisions were made to meet requirements outlined in SB704.

Zoom Meeting for Parents

These zoom meetings will be for anyone interested in giving their feedback in order to improve remote learning. They will occur on Thursday, May 21st. Parents may attend either the 11:00 or the 7:00 meeting. The links are provided below.
