Take-Home Work Folders were sent home today.  Please review your child's work, sign the parent signature sheet, and return them to school tomorrow-please return your child's work in the folder.

Reading-Read "My Rows and Piles of Coins" (Book 3.1, Page 168)
              Choose 1 character trait to describe Saruni
              Support your choice with 2 details from the text
 
Math-Check your child's planner for notes regarding multiplication facts.  Students who have not mastered all 11 facts lists have been assigned lists to write 3 times each and study.  They will be quizzed on these lists tomorrow.

All multiplication lists, from the study guide sent home last fall, must be completed by January 29.

Multiplication Regatta will resume this Friday.  Any student who has not made 100% on the Regatta quiz will have another opportunity on Friday.  Keep studying!

Upcoming Events:
Friday, December 11 is Polar Express Movie Night.  Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door on Friday night.  The event begins at 6:00 PM and will end at 8:00 PM.  Cost includes a hotdog, drink, cookie, and hot chocolate.
 
The Future Leaders Academy will sponsor a Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, December 10 from 1:00-5:30.  Contact the school office at 786-4131 for further details.
 
Wednesday, December 16 will be our Jones School Spelling Bee.  Ty Woods and Charlie McDaniel will be representing our class.
 
Tuesday, December 22 will be an Early Release Day for students.  All students will be dismissed at 11:30.  
 
School will be closed for Christmas break December 22-January 4!  Students will return to school on January 5.

                *If you did not read "Prudy's Problem" and answer Ques. #5 last                          night, this should be completed tonight
 
Social Studies Test has been moved to Thursday, December 3
 
Math Test will be on Friday, December 4.  This will cover multiplication strategies and the facts 0-10, as well as applying problem-solving strategies with multiplication.
 
Tickets for the PTO sponsored "Polar Express Night" on Friday, December 11 will go on sale tomorrow.  Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door on the 11th.  This cost includes a hotdog, drink, a cookie and hot chocolate.  This event is open to all children in the MACS system and parents may drop your children off at Jones at 6:00 and pick them up at 8:00.  There will be lots of adult supervision for the event.

Remember our field trip to the Andy Griffith Playhouse tomorrow.  We will be leaving around 8:45 and returning in time for lunch.  If your child has not returned his/her signed permission form, and doesn't bring it tomorrow, he/she will not be allowed to participate in the field trip.
